When I was about 11, I developed a dual fascination with ancient Egypt and the UFO phenomenon. I was captivated by the possibility of a connection between the two and often daydreamed about traveling back in time to ancient Egypt aboard a UFO. Being an only child gave me plenty of time and quiet to imagine worlds within worlds. I was especially drawn to the god Anubis, the deity of the afterlife. For this Design II assignment, I recreated the figure of one of my husky pets, Rush, and stylized it with geometric shapes to evoke the essence of the ancient god.
