Graphic Design 1

Graphic Design 1 was online, and it felt pretty easy thanks to my previous experience with vectors and basic Photoshop. I also got to learn new programs like InDesign and Illustrator, though I’m more familiar with CorelDRAW. One of our big projects was creating a portfolio in InDesign, which was a great way to pull everything together—check it out below!

It’s funny to think about how, when I first started at UTEP, I was majoring in printmaking with a minor in graphic design—and I absolutely loved those courses. But once I took classes in metals and sculpture, I was hooked! Nothing against my original focus; I still love those disciplines and use what I learned from them all the time. But I fell completely in love with the 3D arts. I think my geeky, nerdy side, along with my fascination with anything mechanical, played a big part in that shift.
